Wild Willy’s Burgers in Quincy Stacks Up!
There is nothing that I love more than to sink my teeth into a big, fat, delicious, juicy burger.
While on our way through Quincy, my family and I spotted a Wild Willy’s Burgers with a sign outside that boasted “Best Burgers on the South Shore”. That sounded like an invitation to me! So, in we went to see for ourselves.
Walking in you see that the decor is western, with an air of charm and comfort. You have a wonderful Western themed mural on the wall. On the other end of the dining area there is a fireplace with kitschy cute decor. You walk to the counter to place your order with a friendly member of the staff. Having never been there before, they were eager to help me decide and tell about their wonderful menu.
We decided on a Willy Burger, a “Wicked Good” Burger, and a foot-long hotdog for our 6 year-old, with a side of fries and onion rings.
Once our food arrived, I was immediately impressed with the size of the burgers. For those who think size doesn’t matter, in this case you are sorely mistaken. The burger was huge! The bun was fresh and toasted and the toppings were crisp and delicious. The Willy Burger sported a fat slice of tomato, large cuts of red onion, and fresh crisp lettuce! Classic American burger! I have to say that the flavor of the burger is so good, it’s almost a crime to cover it up with too many toppings. De-lic-ious!
The Wicked Good Burger was piled high with freshly sauteed mushrooms and onions smothered in Swiss and Chedder cheese! Again, the bun was nicely toasted and the first bite just melts in your mouth. I’m not kidding!
The burgers were cooked precisely as we ordered them and were seasoned perfectly.
The onion rings were clearly homemade, which to me is definitely a plus. They make it a point to fry them in trans-fat free oil. Huge, sliced onions, cooked just right with enough crisp in the lightly battered coating. A must have every time for this family! Also, note that the portions are huge!
Foot-long hotdog! It barely fit in our camera’s lens!
Our son Braeden had a foot long hotdog just as if it came from our own backyard grill! Great flavor with this all beef dog. He ate every bite.
When we finished with barely enough room in our tummies, we decided to treat ourselves to an ice cream cone. Wild Willy’s has fresh ice cream from Maine and load up the cone for only $1! Yep, a dollar buys you a delicious ice cream cone! Unbelievably, the choices include coffee and chocolate chip cookie dough as well as mint chocolate chip, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry!
I am a huge fan now and see why they boasted about being the best burger on the South Shore.
Go check them out for yourselves and meet the owners Paul and Ruth Bennett! They are passionate about their business and it shows in every aspect . . . from the cleanliness of the rest rooms to the way their staff treat their customers! Don’t hesitate to to give these guys your business.
