Salem’s Arts Festival
This weekend explore the creative side to a city that is drenched in history.
ALL FREE IN DOWNTOWN SALEM, THIS WEEKEND…
- Take a magic carpet ride in Lappin Park
- Learn to bellydance with the North East Bellydancing Association
- Admire art from amateurs to professional artists
- Learn to hoop dance or take an acting improv class
Over 16 musical performances this weekend, many on our outdoor stage.
Numerous works of art are on display during the festival.
There are free art making activities for children.

Friday, June 3
5 – 7 p.m. Salem Arts Festival Kick Off Reception - Open to the public, refreshments. Exhibit of 30 artists work. Location: Museum Place Mall Gallery Music by Julian Baptista
7 – 10 p.m. A Night of Singing – First Universalist Hall, 211 Bridge St. (Main entrance from Federal Street near the Church Street parking lot)
7 pm “Ain’t it a pretty night” – Arias & Scenes from American Opera presented by Jennifer Sgroe
8 pm Gems of Victorian Operetta presented by Rebecca Hains, soprano, and Thomas Dawkins, baritone
